Do you know what was on Mom's dinner place at the

rehab nursing home Sunday night?

Glad I take her dinner. She had 2 scoops of cottage

cheese, canned fruit and 4 chocolate puddings and a

scoop of strawberry ice cream and that was it. I

can't even get upset anymore. The nurse and I

laughed, I said does this look like a pre-schoolers

delight when Mom isn't looking?

Friday night there was jello again. She's been there

since the middle of Oct and they still don't have it

right.

Donna that is just WRONG! I know it is an extra bother to make certain she has

the right food but when reading about what they gave her, good grief.

 

I am horrified about the prof who made the skim milk comment.

 

Has her doctor written IN her nursing orders that she is to be given a

vegetarian diet? If orders were written and still ignored I'd raise the roof.

Actually I would anyway but then since my recent problems I have become aware

that we veggie people have to get more involved with getting the facts out to

hospital and nursing home dietitians.
