Try the Japanese Fuyu persimmon, it's more of a crunchy texture and it

won't bite your tongue and pucker your mouth.

I eat both types though.

I've been puzzling over this, thinking I've never seen any persimmons

for sale over here. Further investigation shows that Fuyu persimmons

are known as sharon fruit in Britain. Maybe I'll be brave enough to try

one now.
