Guest guest
At Donna's suggestion, I toasted quinoa with last night's dinner. Then I toasted some millet, and cooked 'em both together. Wow! The result was like a faintly buttery, faintly nutty couscous, without using butter or nuts. Yum! Donna, thanks so much--I think I'll be doing a lot of this :-) Peace, Maureen

Guest guest
My partner and I agreed that it was our favorite part of that meal! I love to try new things--That's one of the reasons I'm so thrilled about this list :-))) Peace, Maureen PS My most memorable kitchen disaster was actually from a recipe! A couple of years after my mom died, I had a craving for her lemon meringue pie, which had this lovely, tart filling and toasted meringue crust. I got out her recipe file, followed the directions to a T, and ended up with a big, unsalvageable pie plate full of scary looking slime. :-o Donnalilacflower wrote: > Completely changes the flavor when you toast them, > happy you enjoyed your meal.
