Guest guest Posted January 24, 2007 Report Share Posted January 24, 2007 I made this tonight and it was very tasty, but was a little salty. You may want to use low sodium veg broth. Easy Veg Gravy 1 1/2 cups Water 2 tbsp Butter (or Oil) 2 tsp Veg Broth Powder (I used Frontier brand) 1 tsp Onion Powder 1/2 tsp Celery Salt 1 tbsp Cornstarch 3 tbsp Nutritional Yeast Flakes Heat Water and Butter in a pan over medium heat. Mix in Broth Powder, Onion Powder, & Celery Salt. In a bowl, mix Nutritional Yeast and Cornstarch. Add to pan a little at a time as you whisk. Cook for 4-5 minutes as you whisk out any lumps. I think the Nutritional Yeast will mix in better if you break it up a little, But it worked fine as flakes. Enjoy! April Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
