Guest guest
This is a 1902 recipe from " Old New Brunsick Kitchens " compiled by Mildred Trueman. Cover 3 T. tapioca with water, let stand overnight, beat the yolks of 3 eggs with a cup of sugar, add one quart of milk, a small piece of butter, a little salt, an boil the whole to a very thick custard. Flavor with vanilla. When cold, cover with whites of eggs, well beaten, with a little sugar added. Brown in oven.
