I'm new and my name is Alvii. Being Samoan I use the zester often.

I like the fruit rinds in my recipes. I have the long one that is

shaped like a ruler.

You probably won't ever need more surface space than 4x3, but the longer one is

easier to handle with one hand holding it and the other holding the fruit or

cheese or nutmeg. I've had mine for years, and love it.

I say go for the long one. It's easy to hamdle and does a good job.

I also recently bought the long one. I've been watching enough cooking

shows to see it being used. I really like it. Mine has a " sheath " that

covers the grating blade when not in use.

Amazing I haven't grated my fingers. I'm dangerous to

myself with the potato peeler. Never had a problem

with a knife though.

Rainy day mushroom pillow,

colors green, brown and yellow.

Wonder if they'll turn back ever,

contemplating what together,

poison dreams, assorted dreams, mushroom dreams.
