Guest guest
Get out your food processor this one is so good we had it for dinner tonight. It is rather high in sodium if you need to watch that you can just omit the broth. 2/3 cups washed lentils 1 3/4 veggie broth 2 slices of whole wheat bread ( 3 if not adding cheese) 1/2 cup grated carrots 1/2 cup chopped mushrooms 1/2 cup sliced onion 3/4 cup mozerella cheese whole wheat burger rolls sliced tomatos sliced lettuce whatever other yummy things you love on your burgers 1. Place the washed lentils and broth in a saucepan and cook until soft and drain. 2. Place bread in food processor and process until breadcrumbs remove and place in a bowl with cheese(if wanted) 3. Place the onion, carrots and mushrooms in the food processor until fine chopped add to bread mixture. 4. Puree lentils in food processor. Add to bowl and make burgers. If you dont add the cheese like I chose to do I needed to add a bit of veggie broth to bind everything together. 5. Fry up as you would any other burger. we have tried to do this in the oven but because there is only 1 gram of fat it is a dry mess. 225 calories 1.7 grams of fat 7 grams of fiber 440 mmg sodium
