Guest guest
Deanna, Are you in the area with all that snow that Colorado is being inundated with? Judy - genny_y2k Saturday, January 13, 2007 7:36 AM Spaghetti Squash I agree Marilyn, Spaghetti Squash is fantastic. Hard to come by this time of the year in Colorado. Fall harvest time we get the most wonderful squash. The saddest thing for me is to see all the pumpkins going to waste. Thousands of them used for decoration instead of food. I always roasted the seeds too and they were such a treat. Temp. here this morning is 4 above zero. Burrrr chilly. Time for a bowl of homemade chili made with a quart of those canned tomatoes I put up a few months ago. Life is way too good. Guest guest
Judy, I am north of the plains area that was hit hardest. I am in the middle of the state and south of Denver. During this rough weather I decided to leave the ranch in western Co. and return to the city. 3 ft. of snow with drifts way higher than that and 30 below zero was too much for me. Estimates are that over 30,000 head of cattle have died and who knows how many more livestock froze or starved. We didn't lose a single animal on the ranch. I am so disappointed in the ranchers and cattle feed lot operators in that area.
