Guest guest
has anyone worked with the agar flakes to make homemade vegan " jello? " I am trying to drop a few pounds and jello was sort of a low fat treat that I used to use. I'm having that jello craving, it must be triggered by excessive exercise : ) wondering if agar really makes a good dessert or if it's strange? I called a couple stores and will have to make quite a trip to get them, wondering if it's worth it (or I guess I could order online) thanks, melissa
Guest guest
Melisa I use it all the time as an egg substitute to bind things. The first experience I had with it ... My X made a desert to bring to a far from vegetarian Italian contractor's home. We had been envited for a dinner. She made a peach compote for the bottom of the champaign glasses and what resembled the merangue on a lemon merangue pie. Everyone love it. Even the extras were polished off. No one even suspected that it was vegan. I used agar in the vegan luction kuggles I made for two different Christmas parties. Both were consumed and loved ... in spite of the fact they were vegan with tofu and no cheese. Guest guest
I made tomato aspic with agar and it was terrific. I made apple jello with agar, and it bounced better than a superball. , " Alyssia " <deechun_sa_ngop wrote: > > Melisa > > I use it all the time as an egg substitute to bind things. > > The first experience I had with it ...
