A I read this, it does not say that the carrageenan in food is safe.

 

What I see is a statement that foods be limited to 5% degraded carrageenan.

To me this is comparable to the EPA saying that the polution in an area of

our ocean " falls within the accepted limits.... " The ocean is still

poluted ..... the carrageenan is still harmful ... but it's effects will

take longer to show up ... and then we can blame it on something else.
