Guest guest
You'd love it Wee. You're most welcome. Maybe you could drive over to Yellowstone National Park, in the whole NW corner of Wyoming, too. Oh my, that place is so interesting. Lots of wolves, buffalo/bison and elk, plus lots of other wildlife for easy viewing was abundant. http://www.nps.gov/yell/naturescience/geothermal.htm Click on the links at the bottom of this link to see some of the different thermal features in the park. Staying inside the park at one the many resort areas they have, is really nice. They have ranger led evening campfire programs during the summer at each of the resort. They are great! Jackson, WY is close by and a neat small artsy meets the wild west type city. Lots of fun things to do there. Anywhere from dinner theaters, to dinners on a ranch, to outdoor cafes, wild west drama on the town square each evening. Lots of fun shopping and selections of vegetarian food at restaurants. You can raft down different rivers, with all different levels of difficulties or easy. The Grand Teton Park is in between Yellowstone National Park and Jackson, Wy. You need to go in June-Aug preferably though, because heavy snow starts in late Sept - April. They get over 500 inches a year of snow. In the summer you can drive to the geizer basin and walk on boardwalks all over them. It is like the earthy is on fire. It is a very interesting thing to be walking on top of a live volcano, that has daily earthquakes. Those daily earthquakes are causing steam vents to change daily. 2/3 of the worlds geysers are in this park. Taking Ranger guided walks of the basins make them place so much more interesting, because you learn so much more about them. They are free. Another great destination, if you are heading to the Southeastern United States is Destin Beach and Fort Walton Beach Florida. It has the whitest sugar sand, clear aquamarine water and some nice med. size waves for jumping. It is just gorgeous. http://tinyurl.com/yd9lcs That is a picture of the beach.
