Guest guest
LOL because they taste good! They aren't just like meat, but are great substituted in many recipes that called for meat.and they cook up much quicker than meat. When you are invited to friends house for a cookout, you can just bring along your Veggie Burgers or Veggie Hotdogs(I live the Vega-Links, http://www.kelloggs.com/brand/worthington/ ) Folks can use them to continue to enjoy their many favorite recipes this way. Many are made from soy and wheat products and healthy. I've grown up vegetarian and never eaten meat and love the meat substitutes. They made my husband, who grew up eating meat, enjoy meals better too. He has grown to love all of the many different Worthington/Loma Linda/Morningstar Farm meat substitutes that I use in meal preparations. Other folks do too. We often have meat eaters over and they scarf it down, thinking that I could be a vegetarian with it tasting this yummy and filling. They seem to add a very nice filling feeling to a meal and a nice chewy texture. Judy - james singer Saturday, December 16, 2006 1:47 PM Curious New Member Hi. New member here. Not a vegetarian, but very interested in tasty vegetarian dishes. So I my curiosity is piqued--why are so many vegetarian dishes meat-dish look-a-likes? Why are there bean 'burgers'? and tofu 'meat' loaves? Island Jim .
