Guest guest Posted December 27, 2006 Report Share Posted December 27, 2006 * Exported from MasterCook * Chicken Roast (faux) Recipe By : Serving Size : 8 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Main Dish Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 2 cups oatmeal -- dry 2 cups cottage cheese (or dairy free substitute) 2 cups seasoned bread crumbs 2 medium onion -- grated or finely chopped 1 stick Earth Balance Buttery Sticks (or 8 tbsp of butter or margarine) -- melted 2 tablespoons McKay's Chicken Seasoning 2 cups water -- hot 6 eggs GRAVY 4 tablespoons Earth Balance Buttery Sticks (or dairy free substitute) -- melted 6 tablespoons flour 2 tablespoons McKay's Chicken Seasoning 2 1/2 cups water Preheat oven to 350°. Mix all ingredients together and pour into a greased oblong baking dish. Bake 1 hour uncovered. To make gravy, melt butter or dairy free substitute in a pan. Add flour and McKay's Chicken Seasoning. Stir until well blended, making a smooth paste. Add water stirring constantly until desired consistency. Serve over roast.
