Guest guest
I called Jeanne at the hospital tonight. She was in good spirits. Unfortunately her doctors are not doing a very good job of consulting with each others or reading the chart. She really appreciates your good wishes, prayers and e-mails. The e-mails were delivered to her today and they REALLY MADE HER DAY!!!! She asked for me to share with you that she has been on a liquid diet until 2 days ago. They were sending her Jello and High " Energy " Drinks. BTW she is diabetic. Guess what the first 3 ingredients were - Corn Syrup, gelatin, and beef broth........... Shutter. The nutritionist came and talked with her and acted like she it was near impossible to provide a vegetarian diet for her..... Ughhhhhhhh.....The nutritionist also said that she didn't think that Jeanne was that serious about a vegetarian diet, so that is why she sent those things.....Jeanne gave her a few suggestions of things she could put on the meal tray for a vegetarian.. Next meal, jello was again on the meal tray...... Even giving all that sugar to a diabetic is dangerous. Where do they get these " nutritionist " (and I use that term lightly) from.? BTW folks, if you ever have a choice in your hospital, and want good vegetarian food, go to a Seventh Day Adventist Hospital. They will honor your wishes, gladly. Keep up the good cheery e-mails to her. They mean so much. Judy
Guest guest
I can relate to bad hospital food! I hope Jeanie gets better soon! Chantelle -- " Reality leaves a lot to the imagination. " - John Lennon Faith, no matter what we believe in is an important motivator in life. There are reasons why something is the way it is, though we dont always know why. Problems are never a way to punish us, sometimes they are a way of making us better and stronger, more compasionate and knowlegable people inside. We may worry, we may feel down on the world but we must always remember that faith is what brings us together and that god, no matter what we call him or her has not punnished us, only trusted us with an extra special gift. ~ Me
