Nutmeg vs Mace

 

Did you know that both spices come from the same plant?

 

Nutmeg is a hard nut that is then ground into the powder we use as nutmeg

 

Were you to see the see (nut) in the field and picked it, there would be a mesh

like orangie wraping around the nut.

 

When separated from the nutmeg, dried and ground, it it then sold as the spice

.... Mace.
