Updates on Jeanne

Hello to everyone. This is not jeanne, this is her friend Hishn.

Jeanne asked me to post an update here so everyone would know what was

going on with her.

 

She was admitted to the hospital about two weeks ago for dehydration

and severe abdominal pain. Jeanne has had a Fobi Gastric Bypass and

that has been a source of ongoing concern to her.

 

Since she has been admitted to the hospital she has been diagnosed

with a number of things all boiling down to raging infections

throughout her entire GI track. More importantly, her pancreas is

swollen which is causing pain as well as throwing her blood glucose in

applecart upset.

 

She is at the Palmyra Medical Center in Albany, GA. They have a web

Jeanne's last name is Buckhalter and is in room 434. The phone number

for her room is 229-434-2434. She is very stressed after almost two

weeks in the hospital so all offers of support and good wishes would

be greatly appreciated.

 

No one, including her doctor, is quite certain when she is coming home

yet. The pancreatic swelling has not gone away yet. She is also on

several IV antibiotics as well as IV probiotic. Another of Jeanne's

friends and I have found a doctor in Waycross GA who does the Fobi

Bypass. We have passed that information on to her current doctor.

The Palmyra Medical Center does not do gastric bypass surgery, so does

not have anyone on site who knows anything about what Jeanne's insides

should look like now. We are hoping her current doctor can get the

doctor on Waycross to at least consult on all the imaging done of her

insides to see if everything is ok. Her current doctor has consulted

the surgeon who did her original surgery. That doctor, the one who

did her original surgery refused to take on Jeanne's case as anything

other then an outpatient basis. Considering he is over four hours

away from where she is now, this was not a practical offer. I will

stop this particular part of the story now before I lose my temper.
