a grocery story

Hehe. We've all talked of similar happenings, but having just

gotten back from the grocery store, this one is fresh in my

mind, so I'm going to relay it anyway. As the checker and

bagger were ringing up my produce, they commented " someone

is making something special " and " yeah, and it looks good! "

I replied, " Nope, just my standard fare. I'm a vegetarian;

this is what I eat. " Then, just fifty cents short of the

$50 required to use a store coupon for $5, the checker asked

if I wanted to grab some gum or something. I said I did and

looked over the candy display. Finally, I said, " Nothing

appeals to me, I'd rather grab a piece of fruit. " She said,

" Go ahead. " So, I ran and grabbed three bananas and that put

my order just over the required amount.
