Guest guest
I've never had this sauce, Chupa, so I can't tell if the ready-prepared sauce is vegetarian, but I found this recipe for Kung Pao Tofu which looks rather good. http://www.catalunatics.com/cooking/vegs/Tofu4.htm HTH Christie , " Chupababi " <alcovi wrote: > > Saw this on my favorite TV channel the other day and started > salivating!!!! Guest guest
This is the only ingredient label I have found so far... I will try my Asian Food Store, but I think the stuff they have there will also be filled with no-no's However Looking at this, one could make their own and do it vegan ... Brown Rice Syrup in lieu of the sugar & HFCornSyrup, sea salt if you relly need to use salt... omit the carmel color and the preservatives ... after that it's play time till it tasts right. From one of the sites that gave ingredients for their product .... ichie as it is... Kung Pao Chicken sauce NET WT.: 8 oz / SERVINGS ABOUT 4 Ingredients : Sugar, Water, Distilled Vinegar, High Fructose Corn Syrup, Salt, Modified Corn Starch, Soybean, Wheat Flour, Flavoring, Spices, Sesame Oil, Chili Pepper, Garlic, Sesame Seed, Caramel Color, Xanthan Gum, Sodium Benzoate Added As A Preservative. - " Chupababi " <alcovi ; ; <gourmet-recipes-from-around-the-world > Cc: <MC-AllEthnic-Recipes >; <ethnicregionalmcook > Saturday, December 16, 2006 2:23 PM Sandra Lee Edamame in Kung Pao Sauce > Saw this on my favorite TV channel the other day and started > salivating!!!!
