Guest guest
Our whole family LOVES homemade gluten pot roast, so that is usually a feature. I make a huge batch of gluten (we start with 10# of flour to make about 5# of gluten) and cook it in veggie broth. Then I cut into bite size chunks and marinate in a mixture of veggie broth, peanut butter, braggs aminoes, garlic, onion, sage, thyme, nutritional yeast...I think that's about it. I then add a little more water, bite size chunks of potatoes, carrots and onions and bake for at least an hour. We serve with a side dish of stuffing, along with sweet potatoes, green beans, and lots of other veggies. And homemade honey wheat rolls. I have made a rolled roast with stuffing before---take the gluten while still pliable, top a large rectangle with stuffing, and roll---jellyroll style. Roast with or without potatoes and carrots. We like it a lot, but the pot roast usually wins the vote for special occasions.
