Your reply to Joe ? I " borrowed " your Egyptian Pickled Turnips recipe and am

sharing it with friends in my very tiny group. I hope you do not mind.

 

I love the saying you use for a signature. I fell in love with the poetry of

Stephen Crane when I was in Jr. College. Your signature calls immediately to

mind his poem " The Wayfarer " :

 

The wayfarer,

Perceiving the pathway to truth,

Was struck with astonishment.

It was thickly grown with weeds.

 

" Ha, " he said,

" I see that none has passed here

In a long time. "

 

Later he saw that each weed

Was a singular knife.

 

" Well, " he mumbled at last,

" Doubtless there are other roads. "

I don't mind at all. I have LOTS of Egyptian recipes, so if you ever

need one, just ask.

 

I like the Wayfarer. I will have to look up Stephen Crane at the library.
