Fruit Cocktail Cookies

 

1 cup shortening

1 cup brown sugar

3 eggs, beaten

2 cups drained fruit cocktail

1 tsp vanilla

1 cup raisins

1-1/2 cup chopped nuts

4 cups flour

1 tsp baking soda

1 tsp baking powder

1 tsp cinnamon

1 tsp cloves

1 tsp salt

 

Cream shortening, brown sugar, and eggs together.

Add fruit cocktail, vanilla, raisins, and nuts.

In a separate bowl, mix together flour, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon,

cloves,

and salt.

Add flour mixture to the first mixture and mix well. Drop by teaspoonfuls on a

greased

baking sheet.

Bake 11-12 minutes at 400 degrees.
