Guest guest
More........ Lactic acid is produced by fermentation of sugar. It is a pale yellow, clear liquid with a specific odour. source: http://www.frompoland.com/dairy/a_lafg.html and another.......[with extra info as well] If it's lactate or lactic acid, it's not from dairy (exception - sterol lactate due to the stearic acid). " Lac " ingredients are usually produced by a fermentation process using cornstarch or beet sugar. Lactose is always from dairy. Most ingredients made with with calcium are vegan (i.e. calcium carbonate, calcium phosphate, calcium sulfate). The exceptions are calcium caseinate and calcium stearate. Drink up the calcium fortified o.j. - it's vegan! source:http://www.vrg.org/nutshell/faqingredients.htm#lac So, you are safe with that cookie! If you mean soy yogurt, and you saw it listed as an ingredient, I would think, given the sources I shared, that you are still going vegan. :~) == http://pixxart.com the Art of Living in Health, Peace, & Light
