Guest guest
Hi, Don't know if this is any good to you but thought I'd send it in just in case. Good luck! Smiles, Ellen BEER NUT ROLLS Dough: 3 sticks oleo 4 cups all-purpose flour 4 egg yolks 2/3 cup beer ground walnuts Filling: 4 egg whites 1 cup granulated sugar 1 teaspoon vanilla Frosting: 1 cup powdered sugar 2 tablespoons butter 1 1/2 tablespoons milk Chopped nuts Dough: Mix oleo and flour together (as for pie crust) with fork until small beads form. Mix egg yolks and beer with fork and pour into flour mixture, mixing until everything is worked in. Roll out each ball of dough on floured pastry cloth (will make 3 large or 6 small balls of dough). Spread filling on dough and sprinkle with ground walnuts. Roll up (as for jelly roll) on greased cookie sheet. Bake in 375F oven for 25 minutes, or until golden brown, or when cake springs back when touched lightly with finger. Filling: Beat egg whites until stiff. Gradually add sugar and beat. Add vanilla and beat. Frosting: Beat first three ingredients until smooth. Frost each cake when cool, and cover with chopped nuts. Ask a question on any topic and get answers from real people.
