There are two Chow restaurants in San Francisco and the one here in Lafayette has been wildly successful. This isn't a very big town. No, Chow is not vegan or vegetarian - in fact they have very few dishes that are either. But it's kind of a fun place (especially for Lafayette) and we like the atmosphere. The noodles in question were the golden noodles with miso, tofu, asian greens and peanuts. They have two other noodles dishes - one with chicken and steak (both!) and one with shrimp and chicken. So this dish sounded like it had the potential to be vegan, or at least vegetarian. And I was very explicit when I asked the server. oh well. live and learn. What part of Lafayette does your sister live in? small world... nancy
