Guest guest
hello everybody! i am a vegetarian but would like to be more and more vegan. i just find it almost impossible to be a pure vegan these days... every restaurant one goes to have scant vegetarian dishes let alone vegan ones. plus, unless you have money, it's hard to keep shopping at the health food stores where you can buy the best types of vegan foods. there are only a few very small natural food stores in town here. so, i try to be vegan 'part-time'. don't have any veg. friends... except for penpals in sri lanka and malaysia:)) i would love to meet more veg. people and hopefully that could inspire me to be more true to veganism. i believe in it yet can't call myself one truly. is it very tough to stick to a vegan diet? any suggestions? oh, and another thing... anybody married or with someone who is not a vegetarian or vegan? would you recommend that? i have thought over it and am thinking to not be seriously involved with someone (to the point of marriage) who is not at least a vegetarian. the owner of one of the health food stores told me her husband and kids are not vegan although she has been for a long time. she advised me to try and be with someone like me and not a nonvege.(when i questioned her about it) and that if she had to do it over again she would be strict about that. thanx! cathleen
