Who is Bay Area Vegetarians?

We are a San Francisco Bay-Area wide group for veg and animal rights

folks to connect and find support & camaraderie with like-minded folks.

Established in October 2001, we are a 100% volunteer, no fees,

plant-powered organization with over 1500 members throughout the Bay

Area and even a few abroad.

Why do we offer free membership to our group?

Because we want the local veg community to be accessible to everyone!

We invite you to be an active part of our community. Click here to see

our events page for upcoming events.

Join us... help us plant the seeds for compassion and good health in

the Bay Area!

What types of activities does BAV do?

We do a wide range of activities, from purely social events like

monthly dinners to hikes to camping trips, as well as educational

events -- lectures and workshops, community outreach, and letter

writing parties.
