Guest guest
well...if we all agreed, my wot a boring place this would be.. "gee, ain't it great to be vegan bob!" "Sure is!" anyways... i don't particualrly think its a miracle that places like BK and their ilk are puttin out *veggie burgers* and *healthier menus* i don't particularly see it as a victory ok ok..before ya'll start thumpin on me 'ead, let me explain did BK, et all toss out all this stuff because they all had a big meeting, and someone said, "gee, all these vegans are buggin us, lets change our ways a lil bit fellows.." nah... fast food sales, especially fer the big 3 (BK, mcdonalds and wendys) have been either flat er slippin fer the last few years thats unconscionable to folks like this? wot, we can't expand forever???!!! no way!!! consume consume consume!! its imperative!!!! so, they started revampin their menus... i can see it now "say jim, wot does PR think we should do?" "well lucifer, we were thinking of introducing a crack burger, might as well start em young, and calling it the buzzburger...." "no no no..much to deliberate and obvious" "hmm..ok...how about the hula burger?" "already done that.." "how about a reprocessed ribwich made out of recycled cardboard?" "no, i like the recycled angle, it markets well, but, we need NEW ideas" "well, o prince of darkness, how about we do something without meat,.." "are you nuts! how else am i going to turn this lush paradise into hell on earth unless i continue to rape and pillage everything!!! and raising cattle works so well into my plans, on soo many levels! do i need to send you to the City of Dis where you shall remain covered in.." "no no no yer most evil highness!! hear me out!! what is popular nowadays?" "Greed? pokemon? sopranos?" "Er, umm..i meant, healthy diets. Its been buildin for a while. We have a break now with this Atkins thing..." "Ah yes, Dr Atkins arrival was most cherished.." "Er ummm, yes, anyways, most folks wouldn't know healthy if you gave me a chart. You could feed em twinkies covered in lard and snickers bars, and as long we we called it "organic" they'd que up in droves..." anyways... so, did the fast food hellholes see the writing on the wall, er did they just go "hey, sales are slumping, lets buy into this" yes, baby steps are good..and having this MAY be a step in the right direction but but, who is going to buy this? is the frantic dad rushing between jobs going to say "hmm..i think i try one of those veggie burgers, even if i'm addicted to the carls jr kkk white power angus burger" prolly not..maybe..but prolly not no, its aimed at 1. those wafflers out there who are leanin toward a more *healthy* diet 2. us they'll get market share anyways they cans now, you argue that this is still better then them serving up a cow yes and no while its leagues better to order a *veggie* burger...you are still buying into THEM why is it, that WE have to bend over backwards fer them, and get all giddy when they make ANY sort of step toward sanity? i don't see it as elitist that we want change... why is it, that we get all excited because "geewhilikers, we get to go where everyone else goes and get to do wot they do!" its like they are saying "hey, yer lucky we let you on the bus, now get to the back.." but, we happily lick it all up Veggie burger at murder king!! hurray!!! of course..you have to order it without condiments, er a bun...and have it microwaved seperately..and stand on one foot while singing the national anthem... but.. this is progress maannnnn phooey ya ssee I HATE FAST FOOD i loathe the entire concept.. and, to get happy because, gee, we can ALMOST have something there..maybe we can have a spray painted lettuce salad(without dressing)..its just UNREAL to me i won't support them because, who is changing here, you er them? they are still the exact same bastards they were yesterday..they just added a bone fer you to gnaw on... you on the other paw, are going into their place of business..giving them money...supporting everything else they do is it better that you are supportin the veggie burger as opposed to a dead cow burger *shrug* maybe but all the money goes to the same place...they have the same issues... i'd rather see em ALL bulldozed over people change diets change buying into *their* plan just helps them out... i really don't care to be like "everyone else" why the fawk would i want to go to mcdeathburger anyways??? now, everyone is different and everyone draws a line in the sand somewhere mine just happens to be waaaay over there everyone is entitled to their own opinion and such this be all a learnin experience i am no more right then nick nor kristina.... i'm just spoutin my take on the matter ya'll have to decide fer yerselves wot ya want to do if supporting the veggie burger at yer local fast food emporium makes you happy..then by all means, knock yerself out..if thats the way you want to go..more power to ya cheers fraggle
