Guest guest
After reading the recipes everyone has sent I decided that our Meat eating friends are suffering from a condition of veggie envy they like the way they are BUT they envy our veggies LOL Craig Re: Have your friends go buy BK veggie burgersCrumble your tofu, marinate it (if you're in a rushjust use a pinch of turmeric and some tamari or Braggsplus maybe a little ginger, ground chilies, etc., asappropriate to the dish), lightly sautee it, then useas if it was ground me*t in such things as shepherd'spie, lasagne, spag bol, moussaka, cabbage rolls, ohhey, the list is endless. Oh and chili non carne ofcourse. Tastes great, and many non-veggies think theyhave eaten, well, what non-veggies eat ;=) if that'sever a consideration for you.Good luck. Tofu is great! Guest guest
Craig, Thanks for the Tofu recipe. I have tried baking it after marinating in soy sauce/sesame oil/shredded ginger,( needs a good 4-5 hours-or overnight or while in work) before using it in a stir fry. If anyone else can help convert me onto the righteous path of the almighty curd that is Tofu, please post a recipe. Normally he would never had tried it had it not been for my bringing it. He said, "I see that they taste just like hot dogs". This was after making a disparaging comment about soy dogs in general. Now the only reason I am bringing it up is that sometimes people just need exposure to new things to try them. My teacher, although educated, is not the type to try these things on his own. I am sure there are many like him who go to fast food places and would not think that veggie burgers are "good" until they see them at Burger King.
