I just had another thought:

 

I had my end of the class potluck the other week....and my teacher tried my tofu dogs. Normally he would never had tried it had it not been for my bringing it. He said, "I see that they taste just like hot dogs". This was after making a disparaging comment about soy dogs in general.

 

Now the only reason I am bringing it up is that sometimes people just need exposure to new things to try them. My teacher, although educated, is not the type to try these things on his own. I am sure there are many like him who go to fast food places and would not think that veggie burgers are "good" until they see them at Burger King.
