confrontation and speaking condescendingly will get ya nowhere tho....at least in this respect...preachin at a BBQ is just gonna make sure you never get invited to another BBQits all a learnin experience..

I think this is wise advice. With my family I have learned to say nothing UNLESS something totally false is being said about animals and meat but that rarely happens.

It never ceases to amaze me, however, how when they complain about feeling "fat" they never ask me how I stay slim! And I don't want to come across like I am boasting, because I am not...but my diet allows me to eat a lot of carbs (good ones) and enough food to fill me up and still stay slim.

The last family dinner party I was at the issue of weight managment came up. One sister complained about those extra pounds she wants to lose...yet at the same time she brags that "she'll eat anything". Whatever. It's like here I am, slim and eating carbs right in front of them yet, of course, they have no interest in my diet or how I've kept it up for so long.

Oh well. I guess they know the answer and don't want to hear it.
