>"Libera", is a libertarian and anarchist commune in the countryside of

>Modena, Italy. They are four years that we are living in a occupied ex

>on the city council's property.

>In our independent and free space we are holding cultural and political

>activities and actions, meetings and feasts, opened to everybody, as our

>weekly assembly. Decision making is by common consensus.

>We are editing the periodical of counter information "Stella Nera", books

>and pamphlets.

>We have also a library in the city. Furthermore, they are two years that

we

>are realizing an ecological project, with organic vegetable garden, an

>orchard, a vineyard, bushes and trees. We are to create a reed bed system

>for waste water and self made solar panels. Our oven is still baking

bread,

>cakes and pizza. This experience is representing the practical realization

>of our political ideas in the daily life which is demonstrating that is

>possible to create self-organized and egalitarian communities on the way
