Maybe I'm not being fair to my Bible belt community. I would really like to hear how others do the vegan thing in a town that is not loaded with health food stores (we have 2 and they mostly cater to the dieting community) or vegan restaurants. Guest guest
I live in Rhode Island. There are two Whole Foods markets..both in providence, and one vegan restaraunt in the whole state. The restaraunt is expensive and always busy, with bad service. of course, it's going to be expensive anywhere because of the stuff you are getting. I just go to whole foods, or i will go to stop and shop...there is a natural foods section. stop and shop is cheaper, but they don't have as many things. i try not to go out to eat too much because it adds up and such. but there are thai places and indian places that are good too. since i don't really know what it is like to have many options, i just deal with what i have. narrow minded town...more like state. since it's such a small state, you can travel from one end to the other and stay there for the day and still be home for dinner. providence is more liberal, but they are pretty narrow-minded with just what they believe in. even though i believe in mostly the same things, they still will shut others out. just can't really go out much at all actually...unless i want a salad. -Samantha Domains - Claim yours for only $14.70/year
Guest guest
Simple answer is I dont eat out in this town, no-where to do it!, no resturants and no health food stores. I have to travel to eat out ( on the rare occasion that I have had money/petrol to burn, I have to interrogate the place first!)- always good for a laugh! The Valley Vegan.....Sara <batcat1970 wrote: Ok. Maybe I'm not being fair to my Bible belt community.
