I am not assuming any of you are Buddhist but I think you'd enjoy this little Buddhist thought on the subject. According to Buddhism...eating meat creates a negative karma for the obvious reason that it is killing and thoughtless to another living being. But it's EVEN WORSE when you ask someone else to do the killing for you because it also means you care nothing for the karma for the person being asked to kill as well. It said specifically there is even more karmic debt for the lack of thoughtfulness towards the killer as well as the animal. I thought this was interesting and very on target morally. Yes it's trying to pass the guilt onto someone else even though that person wouldn't kill the animal if it wasn't for the one trying to pass the guilt on in the first place.
