Guest guest
Samantha I knew an animal activist gal, she was in her 40's with a kid...she had a boring day job and then took a job waittressing at an Italian restaurant. Yes, she served meat. She was a committed vegan but just dealt with it and considered it her job....she would rather work at a vegan place but I don't think she found the opportunities at the time. I wouldn't judge you if you took a job in a meat restaurant...although I am sure it would be more stressful for you. I guess it would be in how you look at it. There is only one vegetarian restaraunt in the state that I live in (Rhode Island) and I applied there...called them, never got in contact with the owner, i don't think they want me. but my question is...have any of you worked around meat, and if so, how did you feel around it. I don't want to get a job and then quit after a little bit, i feel like i probably will do that. Thanks, Samantha
Guest guest
Not in the same league, I know, but my father was a milkman, and I had to get up at 4:30 every morning to deliver moo juice. I used to finish the round smelling like gone off milk.Yumm! This may have been before I was a vegan, but I dont think it would have stopped me in retrospect, helping my father. Now if he had been a butcher, well that would have been different, as I was a vegetarian then... Now I cannot even look at chopped up bits of animals without feeling quesy, my wife thinks I am putting it on, but I do genuinely feel ill....
