Are you kidding me? I see it all around me. Just this last weekend my sisters were talking about those "extra pounds" they would like to lose (of course, they never ask me how I stay slim) yet at the same time, the sister who originated the complaint talked about how she is a "Jew who will eat anything"!!! (In this case it meant ham...but she also will eat lamb etc etc.) She has no discrimination at all. I've heard many people say, as they smoke, drink and eat themselves to death "well, you gotta die of something"! So I think this is very common. They are more comfortable with their discomfort than with change. However, I haven't lost all compassion for them. I know people's lives can be very stressful with difficult emotions that lead them to bad habits. I've suffered from bad habits so I know how hard it is to break them. These bad habits can be temporary distractions from the pain, difficulty. It's too bad they don't know that it's not that hard to be veg and that you can really enjoy life, too!
