Guest guest
Hello everyone this is just a matter of interest not a direct solicitation all the best Craig Dearth Action for Animals <afaVeg Leafleting for Earth Day - Volunteers Needed! VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY April 22nd is Earth Day. The best thing anyone can do to protect the Earth is to go vegan! Raising animals for meat, eggs and dairy consumes vast amounts of natural resources. - Extensive amounts of land, water and pesticides are used to grow crops that are fed to animals who are being raised for their meat, eggs and milk. These crops could be used to feed the World’s starving people many times over, and the land could be reforested to provide homes for wildlife. - Rainforest are cut down or burned to create pastureland for animals to graze, not only killing animals and destroying ancient ecosystems but potentially destroying plants with life saving medicinal properties. - Animals raised for food produce vast amounts of manure that is not treated and ends up in lakes, rivers and oceans, polluting the water and killing fish and other animals. Manure and pesticide runoff has created a 7,000 square mile “dead zone” in the Gulf of Mexico, that’s an area basically devoid of life the size of New Jersey. - Fishing is raping our oceans and killing not only fish but birds, turtles, dolphins and other animals. WE NEED YOUR HELP to educate people this Earth Day! If you can pass out our "Rape of Mother Earth" flyer which details the environmental reasons to go veg, please let us know!
