hi jo

yes wine is far nicer than blood.....but the cult of mithras as celebrated by the romans before they converted, is where the blood body bread idea came from

Hi Catherine

 

Most religious ideas seem to come from Mithras, don't they? I shall have to read up on it.

 

It's a lovely spring morning today so I think we'll be off out to find somewhere to walk for a while and make the most of the weather.

except fer those ones which are budhist, er hindu, er shinto, er...

 

ressurrection was a common thread in the ancient religions of the region...from mithra to osiris...

it was a fertile bed and good area fer ideas to cross over...

craddle of civilization and all that....
