Guest guest
Hello everyone This is one of those rare occurrences where I feel it necessary to put on my moderators hat and get just slightly stern. Vegan_chat is a place for vegans to chat about *anything*. That is the whole purpose of the group, and is clearly stated on the introduction page. There is no such thing on this list as on-topic or off-topic. The only time conversations or postings will be stopped is if they are getting offensive to vegans / vegetarians or individuals, if they are in some way illegal (such as breaching copywrite or are becoming potentially libellous), or if they appear to be intended as advertisements (and if people join in generally with chat, they can usually get away with the odd advert anyway). I am obviously not going to complain if ocassionally someone puts the letters OT in their headings, but since there is no such thing as off topic, I can't honestly understand why they would bother. I am certainly not going to throw my toys out of my cot just because someone who follows a different religion to my own decides to join the list and post a few of their thoughts and some entertaining anecdotes. I hope this helps to clarify things. BB Peter
