Guest guest
Hi Guys, Being gay has undergone a sea change since Biblical days. During Old testiment times, , being gay was punishable by death. This is understandible. The survival of tribes depended on numbers. It was expected that every man and woman would have as many children as possible, and thus contribute to the saftey of the group. This need for big families was still in evidence in my grandparent's day; the back breaking work necessary to work a farm made a large family desirable. " The times they are a chaging." [ Bob Dylan] The availabilty of farm machines , at least in high tek countries, has made it unnecessary to have large families. In fact, we now face a new problem. Over population. The growing world over population is the single greatest threat to human survival that we face today. Famine, disease, poverty, war, are a natural consequence of overpopulation. There are just so many people the world can shpport. We are rapidly approaching that limit. If we are not already there. Now, small families are desirable. Couples should be rewarded for having smaller families. Instead, the more children a person has, the larger tax deduction they are allowed. The more welfare they receive. Where is the incentive to have smaller families? Right. There is none. At this time. But back to the gay issue. In our days, gays are not a threat to the greater good. In fact, far from being a threat to society [ except in the cases of child molestors, both gay and straight] gays contribute to the welfare of the world by not reproducing. Even though some arrange to conceive children, one way or the other, for they most part, they either adopt or remain childless. it is possible to make the case that gays are doing more to lower the world's overpopulation than most other groups. Concider the Pope. He hasn't a clue. The Catholic Church has always encouraged large familie for the same reson the early tribes did. If birth control and abortions were sanctioned by the Church, there would be fewer Catholics, and the Church would lose power. Much the same can be said of The Church Of Latter Day Saints. And many other religions as well. I have often wondered why Catholic priests are forbidden to marry. I would think that it would set a better example, and be more consistant with their desire for lage familieswere priests allowed to marry and have large families themselves. But at least this way they are not directly contributing to the over population of the World. Does it come as a surprise to you that so many Catholic priests have been exposed as child molesters? For most people, celibacy is not normal, and their sexual nature will find some outlet. Whenever people are denied a stable family relationship, it is not surprising when they turn to dispicable sexual purversions. Being in a stable relationship and having a family is a key element in living a fulfilling life. But only if the couple involved are compatable enough for their relationship to last through the trials and sorrows we all experience from time to time. Those who have no use for morality are as dangerous to society as the gays were in Biblical times. But for different reasons. The family is the basic building block of society. Anything that weakens the family can only be a threat to our sad, old World. We are on the road to world disaster. Nature deals with over population when we don't ourselves. By means of horrible diseases, By means of war War ; do you have any idea how many children die of disease and starve to death every single day? THOUSANDS! We either stop this insanity ourselves, or it will be done for us. Jim Finance Tax Center - File online. File on time.
