So, that's the one thing that would keep me from doing it....has anyone else ever been in this situation before? If you can afford living in SF to go to school, by all means, do it. I wish I had. I went to UCSB in Santa Barbara which was a nice experience. When I graduated I COULD HAVE gone North but I did not. And now I don't know what it would've been like. Now that I am older I feel I need more space and it would be very expensive. However, you would only be a college student and you could easily find a roommate via roommate finders. I believe in intuition...and although I am a very practical person, I feel that if you feel joy about a certain action then that is the highest road to take. Likewise, when you feel a resistance, unless you are a self-sabotager, that is a sign that there is a more joyful, higher path to take. I wish someone told me this stuff earlier in my life...and I wish I was encouraged to go North...but you, you can do it and you should. Good luck!
