Guest guest
A new Bush administration rule will allow federal agencies, such as the Bureau of Land Management and the U.S. Forest Service, to bypass the Fish and Wildlife Service when approving forest thinning projects. Currently, agencies must consult with FWS to assess the impact of proposed projects on endangered species and habitat. Under the new plan, these consultations will no longer be required.
