Guest guest
I've been watching this group as well as reading all that I can get my hands on to educate myself, but it seems like it is taking for ever to transition into a vegan lifestyle. Right now I do fairly well with what I eat, I am at least aware of the places that need improvement. I don't cook, which I feel is a major barrier, but I hope to start as soon as I learn how. I also struggle with feeding my animals. It wouldn't be so bad if it was just mine, but I foster dogs and don't feel I know enough to know that I am doing a good job of getting them the appropriate nutrients. They are all big dogs (my 2 plus 1 cat and my fosters) so based on what I've seen, it seems like it could get expensive. I think I'm at a point where I feel almost paralyzed by being overwhelmed by all there is to learn and do that I don't know how to take the next step. Any suggestions on how you all transitioned and helpful hints from things you learned along the way? Thank you in advance for your help. I admire your knowledge and how you have integrated it into your lifestyles. Jill
Guest guest
hi jill, i gradually started by cooking for myself at home bit by bit, so as to have control over what i ate, and the ingredients and to cut my food bills right down.................my food bills are a third if not less of what they were when i was veggie and eating microwave stuff and pre prepared meals.............. good luck catherine >"Jill" > > > Transition time >Fri, 21 Nov 2003 18:56:59 -0000 > >I've been watching this group as well as reading all that I can get >my hands on to educate myself, but it seems like it is taking for >ever to transition into a vegan lifestyle.
