Guest guest
How would you explain what a vegan is to someone who didn't know?I don't bother with the ethics around here, unless they are asked for. I am a vegetarian, and I also don't eat milk products (very allergic), egg, honey or 'anything that comes from an animal'You went to a friends house, who spent a long time making a "vegan" mealjust for you. Before you eat, you see one of the ingredients she used is aproduct that has "whey" in it. What do you do?This would not happen. My friends all know I am very allergic to milk. It is more likely to be egg or something. As long as it is not meat (jelly etc) I would eat it, but not much, and thanking them for their thought, explain that I don't eat it. You notice a mosquito in your room just before you go to bed. It's making anannoying noise and might bite you in the night. You have a good shot at it.What do you do?Allergic to mossie bites Coat myself in repellent. Every night of summer... You have 10 mice in your house, peeing on your stuff, eating stuff in yourcupboards. Causing a riot. What do you do?HAve had this. Ate the first page of my favourate book, in an edition you can't get any more. Remove any food sources, and let them go. They usually bugger off themselves. If the B/F complains, I have humaine traps and will empty them for him. The dogs usually keep them out of sight anyway. You go to a dinner with friends, and the main course and salad are "vegan"except for a teaspoon of honey in each. What do you do?I always question everything. If the waitress does not know, I have the chef brought out. I am gentle, but explain that I cannot have them and they are usually nice and will make one up for me without the honey. If they won't, and don't offer anything else, we walk out. Thankfully that has never happened, though :*)You are making a vegan dinner for 8 non vegan friends at your house. What doyou make?Oh, Shit. Pasta Neoplitano?Your mother in law or other relative asks you if you can do a big favor andstore a turkey in your fridge as hers is full of other thanksgivingtrimmings. What do you do?My MIL is two hours away, and it would spoil bringing it here. Also, we don't have turkeys. Or thanksgiving. But she would be welcome, as Ben and the dogs still eat meat, so I can't say no. Buyt she would have to do it herself, and wrap it well, so it didn't drip (sorry guys).Someone gives you a chocolate bar that has no dairy or egg, and is from agood company. It is processed on a plant that processes milk and may containtrace elements. Do you eat it?Nope. Too allergic, can't take the risk. __ IncrediMail - Email has finally evolved - Click Here
