Guest guest
Hi Anne I believe aspartame is vegan, but it's very bad for you as it turns into formic acid and formaldehyde if left at room temperature - causing nerve damage, and ADHD etc. The only reason it is allowed on sale because either Dick Cheney or Donald Rumsfeld were head of the Food and Drug Administration when Novartis (?) wanted to bring it on the market. They happen to have business connections with that company. As far as I am aware all sugar substitutes are bad for you, and implicated in bladder cancer.
