Guest guest
Okay ;=) I have lived in London, Ontario, Canada (yup, *that* one!) for just over four years. I don't find it vegan friendly in *my* sense of the word: that is to say, I don't find it easy to eat out - no veggie restaurants. However, I don't receive aggression from wait staff either ;=) and a number of restaurants do have one vegetarian (alas, not always vegan) dish on the menu apart from the tossed green salad. For shopping for food, the market in the middle of town has a great organic food store that stocks a goodly number of vegetarian and vegan foods - and they are *very* friendly. Health food and homeopathic shops are helpful too. I can't say what the food outlets at the university are like, because we are a bit past all that and have rarely eaten up there except when we are doing stuff at the UWO library. Otherwise, I think you would find London a pleasant small city ;=) UWO has a good rep. Let me know if you decide to come here ;=) Best, Pat/Canada -- SANTBROWN townhounds/ http://www.angelfire.com/art/pendragon/ ---------- * " I will not let anyone walk through my mind with their dirty feet " - Gandhi * " The time will come when men such as I will look upon the murder of animals as they now look upon the murder of men " - Leonardo da Vinci ----------
