Guest guest
don't really know where to start soo many places to go and i forgot wot i put in the files in the group..(wot, you expect me to go look??!!) in the East Bay... there is a new place around the corner from my house...Abyssinia..its an Ethiopian style place, which is pretty good..they have a vegetarian buffet, and a pretty good selection of vegggie/vegan options... its on telegraph and 51st street in oakland... ambrosia on san pablo in albany..still one of our faves...heavy on the pseudo meats, but, they do it with flair... fer a quick beer and some cheap food, had to beat Lanesplitter in Berkeley..located on the corner of of University and San Pablo. their vegan calzones are just huge, and the bowl of salad fills up 3 people pretty dang well.. Not a specifically vegan place, but, its a co-op and several of the employee owners are vegan, so, they have a variety of vegan items, which is sorta different for a bar/pizza joint. New world veggie house has been pretty good as of late.. they redesigned their menu. they are down on 8th st in downtown oakland then there are the busloads of places in Sf..some of which are on the link i just sent... a trip to Sf is not complete without a stop at either Greens er Millenium...both are sorta pricey, but, both are an experience. i like Milenium better, more vegan goodies to choose from. any questions, just ask away cheers fraggle
