Guest guest Posted October 23, 2003 Report Share Posted October 23, 2003 it was here someone was askin about how to scare off roaches, right?? well..anyways..cockroaches are tuff, but not impossible like most *pests*..the main thing is to keep things tidy/clean..don't leave foodstuffs out, put flour, cereal etc in tuperware/resealable plastic bins..that sorta thing unfortunately cockroaches can survive on just about naything..but the goal is not to make it easy fer em cockroaches like dark, warm, and damp places...don't leave stacks of newspaper around..especially in a damp basement!.. i've heard ya can discourage the lil tanks by keepin a light on(they like the dark, ergo, a light will discourage em)..but..seems sorta wasteful to me.... the mint family is a good deterrent..catnip, spearmint, etc..leave some dry leaves in the cupboards...make a tea out of the mint and spray it into corners and along baseboards... cucumber slices are suppose to discourage them... try leaving bay leaves, or garlic where you see them..that is also suppose to work... good luck! cheers fraggle Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
