I would like to take this opportunity to announce the release of the

Second

Edition of The Live Food Factor, the most thorough and complete manual on

all aspects of the raw diet, as well as a complete primer on the true

science of human health known as natural hygiene.

There is no other book like it on the market today. See the rave reviews

that greeted the First Edition on www.amazon.com

Once you have read it through, you will refer to it again and again.

Even if you have been practicing a raw diet for years and think you " know

it all, " you will find material here you haven't seen before. With

Christmas season approaching, you may also want to consider ordering one

or more as gifts for those relatives and significant others who need to

be convinced that this is the diet for them. If this book doesn't do it,

nothing will. The before and after photos of some of our testimonials are

convincing enough.

Email me privately if you would like to see the Table of Contents, the

forewords by Dr. Vetrano and Victoria Boutenko, and the Introduction.

The Live Food Factor will retail for $29.95 once it appears in stores,

but as editor I can offer it to

list members at a 10% early-bird discount of US$27 (per book) + $5 S & H

(per order within the US) or $10 S & H (international). Note that for

domestic orders, the shipping charge applies only to the first book. If

you wish to place an order, contact me for further ordering details.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Up until about five thousand human generations ago, it was unheard of to

cook one’s food. As man and food evolved, the two have become less and

less compatible, especially given modern man’s penchant for artificial,

processed, refined, sugar-laden, fatty " foods. "

In her first book, titled The Live Food Factor: The Comprehensive Guide

to the Ultimate Diet for Body, Mind, Spirit, & Planet, author Susan

Schenck weaves scientific proof, testimonials, and history, presenting

the most comprehensive raw foods guide ever.

Need scientific proof of healing via raw diet? Schenck has reviewed more

than

60 scientific experiments from all over the world. For those needing more

handholding, Schenck gives a blow-by-blow account of " going raw, " both

cold turkey and more gradually.

This 660-page tome is split into five sections: One is an overview of the

benefits of going raw. Two showcases the scientific reasons for going

raw. Three highlights the raw movement’s history and its leadership. Four

is a complete how-to manual. The final section presents additional

reference material with comprehensive bibliographies and an extensive

Resource Guide that includes listings of health retreats and fasting

institutions, pertinent web links, raw food restaurants, and mail order

sources for raw foods and kitchen gadgets.

Over 130 flavorful recipes round out the book, called by the president of

Living Tree Community Jesse Schwartz " …the best compendium we’ve seen on

alive food. "

The just released Second Edition has been expanded, revised, and updated

in collaboration with natural health educators Victoria BidWell, Dr.

Vivian V. Vetrano, MD, and Dr. Tosca Haag, MD, to include new

testimonials from long-time raw fooders, a chapter on how to raise

children raw from birth, a comprehensive primer on the nondietary factors

of health — including a compilation of the Laws of Life and a list of the

“ten energy enhancers” — a chapter on therapeutic fasting, another on

detoxification methods and symptoms, and additional material on

techniques for breaking addictions of all sorts.

You will find the rules for proper food combining along with the category

classifications of individual foods, sample menus, and a seasonal eating

plan. There is a an appendix on the history of the pharmaceutical drug

scam, another on behavioral modification techniques for overcoming

addictions of all sorts, and even an appendix covering the practice of

raw meat eating and the theories that support it.

The First Edition of this book won Independent Publisher’s Publication of

the Year first place award as Most Progressive Health Book of 2007. " For

24 years the mission at Independent Publisher has been to recognize and

encourage the work of publishers who exhibit the courage and creativity

necessary to take chances, break new ground, and bring about change, not

only to the world of publishing, but to our society. "

Author Joe Alexander (Blatant Raw Foodist Propaganda!) has declared

Schenck’s book to be " the most impressive and convincing book on the

subject I’ve ever seen. ... It will be the new classic of the raw food

movement. "

Raw food author and chef Paul Nison concurs with many others when he

declares, " The Live Food Factor is the most comprehensive book ever

written about the raw food diet. Anyone interested in health should own a

copy. Susan Schenck did a great job. I'm excited about this book because

I know it will help people. "

About the author and her collaborators:

Susan Schenck is a licensed acupuncturist (L.Ac.) with a Master of

Traditional Oriental Medicine (M.T.O.M.) degree from the Pacific College

of Oriental Medicine. She also has a B.S. in education and an M.S. in

Applied Linguistics from Indiana University. She has taught all grade

levels from preschool through university. Extensive travel throughout the

world has enhanced her receptivity to new ideas.

Victoria BidWell is a former high school teacher who has more than two

decades’ experience in writing, teaching, counseling, and promoting

natural health practices.

Dr. Vetrano has over 50 years of clinical experience in helping sick

patients regain health. Her daughter Tosca Haag, raised raw from birth,

has chosen to carry on her mother’s clinical work.

Editor and raw diet consultant Bob Avery has more than 15 years’

experience living the diet and writing and researching it independently.
