Guest guest
I've been to Iceland and seen the snowcaps. The peaks seemed to go on forever, the air was crisp. Different than the alps, where I actually went to the tops of the peaks. It was summer and wasn't even cold. Similar to the slopes in Utah, where the snow was all powder because it never melted and turned to ice, it just sublimed because the air was so dry. I've been to the moab dessert many times, endless mesas, canyons, tunnels, plateaus. Perfect solitude and quiet. I went horse backing riding at dude ranches, and without supervision in Oahu. I camped by the ocean in Maui for three months, near the black sand beach, dolphins passing my campsite everyday, washing in the high rocky pools before taking the short hike to the swarm of naked people. We would hike down ladders that the local people made, bringing us to underground caves with natural steam vents. i've done the big island wymanu 7 mile hike, where you can swim in clear water pools along the trail. I've camped with lots of people at hot springs, and a very special july 4th rainbow gathering. ( " welcome back " ) I've camped in jungles, forests, and valleys; avoiding cows, tree cutters, and rangers. I got lost camping in the Catskills, leaving my backpack on the trail, and slept while it rained on the very cold night, without any camping equipment., I've stayed at villas and cottages in a dozen Caribbean islands I've been to hot springs in central America, and snorkeling near the coral reefs of the nearby islands I stayed at a spa near the ocean during a six month stay in Thailand, and then taxied by boat to a nearby island, that I remember for the most spectacular sunsets. The cloud formations were as awesome as the grand canyon. I bought heroin in the golden triangle. I've been to the dead sea, and swam in the salt lake of Utah I've seen fireworks in new York central park on new years eve, macy's on July 4th. I've seen fireworks display in Paris on bastille day; in Denmark at Tivoli gardens; and in Vancouver during their independence day. I been on boats I hired to drop me off on islands where I would be the only one camping in Carolina banks, Arkansas, and off the floridian panhandle. I participated in exotic activities including hang gliding, parasailing, snorkeling, scuba diving, snow skiing, water skiing, sailing, sail boarding, tennis. i lived with a beautiful blond girlfriend, who taught me how to roller skate and fly fighter kites I've danced in clubs all over the world. In Puerto Rico, they cleared the floor for my dance partner and me. and when we were finished, gave us a standing ovation. I've been to private parties in Puerto Rico, (and been adopted as a Christian private school honorary alumni in Utah so that I could go on their yearly outings.) I picked my food that I helped to grow myself, and also around the world. I have been to berry farms in California, found wild food in Hawaii and Oregon. I have shopped in extensive markets in Bangkok, Nicaragua, and costa rica: where everyday the farmers drive in and set up their concessions for city miles and miles I've been to villages made of dirt, and communities build on love I've been to dozens of grateful dead concerts around the country, including watkins glen and red rocks amphitheater. I've spend weeks by the Riviera in France and Spain. I spent a whole summer on the island of Corfu, and two summers traveling through Europe by train and plane. I bought hash in fundle park I've been to the worlds fair in new York and Montreal. I've water fasted for 2 weeks, three times. i've spoken to ann wigmore, gabriel cousins, ray kent, and victoras kulvinkas, and i am proud to include among my friends: Jeremy Safron, sahaj yogi, and neil salka I've driven across America, driving from one hot springs to another, for a full year. I lived in a house by the strand in manhattan beach California for a full raw year, with a fireplace and a hammock on the roof. I roller skated on the strand frequently. I've roller bladed on ny manhattan streets for years. I've been I've been around I really shouldn't complain my master thesis aligned me with the thoughts of Euclid and pythagorus. I worked at computer jobs where I was respected as a hired gun. I usually made more than my bosses. I worked for general motors, geico insurance, wall street companies, atlanta newspapers, merke pharmaceuticals, animations and music houses, and even a military contractor where I wrote a communication testing program for boats, planes and infantry networks. I have healed from crippling sciatica, morbid obesity, and iv heroin addiction without doctors. I see the people now that were like me then. some have had stomach operations and are very sick, some have gotten even fatter, some have had their spines fused and are still in pain, and of course, most are dead. I really shouldn't complain But I do i remember when i trusted my father. I grew up in America when it was the freest country on earth. When we all were proud to be americans. When people heard john f kennedy say, " ask not what your country can do for you, but ask what you can do for your country " - they screamed yes. I remember when the government served and protected us. I remember when the world wanted to pay more for American products because they wanted to be like us. I remember when It was illegal for the government to come into my home and tell me what to do. I remember when the internet was filled with students and people that only wanted to help each other. I remember when rawtimes was the only web site for raw fooders, and veg-raw was the only mailing list. i remember when i was proud to say that bob avery was my friend. I have good memories. I really shouldn't complain my name is jrellis and i am rawtimes
