Guest guest
-Happy New Year to you too and here is to spoiling yourself! and to all happy new year, it is interesting to find out the things that people are in to I know sometimes though that it can go a little bit crazy so I will try to be brief I coach the team-what is most important is that tthe kids do the work I have a great partner inthis-he is an engineer & project manager My background is in theater-directing & art so all together is as good combo I have the kids for most of the meting but then the other coach gets us back on target for deadlines & such It's a really right & left brain coaching team The kids are great They range in ages 14-9 & have worked very well NOt only arethere technical elelments such as motors and robot building & programming but there is a research and presentation project all wtihin rules & constraints i have sent these videos out before-they show the tournament but not the presentation part The theme this year was power puzzle and the kids had to research energy & alternative energy. We are giving a public presntation to show the community robotics and to do our skit on alternative energy. The kids went to a windturbine and had a tour of a solar panel and some other neat things here are so videos thefirst is pumped up & we won't make it to nationals this year -we aa rookie team and just wona mini tournament but our big one is Jan 12 this one is more showing just what the robot does andof course we hope someday to go to internationals! http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=4917886218520834609 but that is a dream for now sorry to go on we are excited btw our team is Robodudes Em-- In rawfood , Joyloulin wrote: > > > Hey Em and all, > Happy New Year! > > I enjoyed you email and even if it is OT - I found it facinating about the > Lego Robotics team.
